How to Make Chocolate Banana Cake Roll
This is my second attempt at making this cake.The first time, it was a complete failure,forcing me to throw away the cream and chocolate, leaving me heartbroken but also enabling me to learn from my mistakes.
Although I didn’t achieve perfection in this try,it already has a basic form,and I believe that with practice, it will be even better next time. If you like to experiment,I highly recommend trying this cake. My son is now completely obsessed with it.
It can truly be described as rich, mellow, and fragrant.

1. The entire preparation process should be kept at a low temperature; it is best to make it in an air-conditioned room.

2. Prepare cool water, hot water, and ice cubes.
3. Chocolate and butter have low melting points; they don't need very warm water; too warm water can make chocolate bitter.
4. In summer, it's best to chill the cream with ice when whipping it, and after making the cream mixture, keep the bowl on ice for chilling.

5. The cake roll is usually rolled when still warm, but for this recipe, we should try to cool it down before rolling; otherwise, if you apply the cream filling while the cake is too hot, the moisture will separate from the cake body, making it difficult to roll.
6. In summer, it's better not to make too much at once,

Cake ingredients:
25 grams unsalted butter,4 egg yolks, 25 grams fine sugar (for egg yolks), 20 grams sugar-free cocoa powder, 20 grams cold water (cool water) 4 egg whites, 60 grams fine sugar (for egg whites),
45 grams low-gluten flour Filling ingredients: 80 grams cream, 80 grams chocolate
120 grams cream, 15 grams fine sugar,
1-2 bananas.Cake preparation steps: 1. Melt unsalted butter in a water-free container over warm water; the temperature of the hot water should not be too high.
2. Beat egg yolks and fine sugar over warm water until they form an emulsified yolk mixture. If the weather is very hot, you can skip the warm water bath but must beat for some time then take it out immediately to avoid the egg yolks curdling due to prolonged heating. 3. Sift in sugar-free cocoa powder and mix evenly.
4. Add cold water and continue mixing until smooth.
5. Beat the egg whites to a soft peak (start by beating the egg whites into foamy bubbles, then add 1/3 of the fine sugar. Continue beating to thicken the egg whites, forming finer foam-like structures when they become thicker with visible patterns; once more beating until they can form stiff peaks).

They mainly function to clear the intestines, treat constipation, and have cooling effects on the lungs, relieving thirst, replenishing essence, and detoxifying alcohol.
Due to its cold nature, it's not suitable for those with weak spleen and stomach.
6. Take 1/3 of the whipped egg whites and mix them in, then take another 1/3 and mix them in, finally mixing in all the remaining egg white mixture evenly.
7. Addlow-glutenflour
in three batches, folding it in until smooth.


8. Take a small portion of the cake batter and mix it with melted butter,
9. Pour the mixture from step 8 into the batter from step 7 and fold evenly.10. Transfer the well-mixed batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, tap out any air bubbles.12.
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes; remove when there is no crackling sound and it has good elasticity, then peel off the edges of the parchment paper and let it cool slightly.
Filling preparation:1. Melt chocolate with cream over warm water and mix evenly.2. Whip cream to a thick consistency; add the chocolate mixture from step 1 and continue whipping until thick (about 70%).
3. Chill the filled bowl in ice before use.
