How to Cook Water Boiled Shrimp or Steamed Shrimp
The method for cooking Water-boiled Yangtze River Prawns: If you plan to eat water-boiled prawns, choose mother prawns (commonly known as baby prawns). For example, 500 grams of Yangtze River prawns: start by adding some water; it shouldn't be too much. Judge so that the water in the pot can barely cover the prawns. The method for Blanched Prawns is relatively simple; the key is that the shrimp must be alive. Fresh shrimp will give the meat a good elasticity when cooked. Many people believe that blanched prawns are simply boiled in plain water and then removed, but this is a misunderstanding of the term. The true method for blanched prawns involves several steps!1. First, heat a small amount of oil in the pot until it reaches about seven-tenths hot. Then add garlic slices and ginger pieces to sauté briefly.2. Pour in an appropriate amount of water into the boiling pot; during this time, wash and clean the live shrimp and remove their legs to ensure they are still alive before being placed in the pot.
