How to Make Flower Rolls
Ingredients:
one cup high-gluten flour white flour
a little salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/3 cup warm water (half water half milk)
2/3 teaspoon dry yeast a little oil)
Method:
1. Except for the oil, mix the dry and liquid ingredients to form a dough, let it rest for one hour after which knead the risen dough gently for two minutes, cover with a wet towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes until the dough doubles in size.
2. Roll the dough into a long rectangle, spread some oil on it, roll up, cut into small pieces, press two sides together facing each other and twist.
3. Grease a pan with a little oil and heat over high flame to 70% hotness before placing the buns (leave space between them).
4. Reduce to medium-low heat, fry for three minutes, pour some water over the buns, cover and fry for another 10-15 minutes.5. Uncover and fry for 2-3 more minutes until all the water in the pan is completely evaporated.Chinese steamed buns Cover with a damp towel and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
3. Heat a little oil in a pan over high heat until it's about 70% hot, then place the Chinese steamed buns (leave some space between them) to allow them enough room to expand. Reduce to medium-low heat, fry for three minutes, then pour some boiling water over them, cover and fry for another 10 minutes or so. Remove the lid and fry for 2-3 more minutes until all the water in the pan is fully cooked.
