Sweet corn information:
Main types include:
(1) Ordinary sweet corn. With about 8% sugar content, often used for creamy or whole kernel canned products, also suitable for freezing.
(2) Super-sweet corn. With a sugar content over 20%, the fruit peel is thicker and mainly used for whole fruit canning, freezing, or fresh corn on the cob.
(3) Enhanced sweet corn. With a sugar content of 12%-16%, suitable for whole kernel or creamy canned products, freezing, and fresh ear sales. Cultivation methods are similar to ordinary corn, but must be isolated by more than 300 meters from other varieties to prevent cross-pollination, and timely harvesting of young ears is necessary.
Tips:
(1) Corn residue contains a lot of dietary fiber; eating it together ensures better absorption of corn's nutrients.
(2) When cooking corn, adding a little salt to the water makes it taste better. I usually cook three or four ears of salty corn as my main meal.
