How to Make Bread Waffles?
Both the batter and bread versions of waffles have been tried. The conclusion is -- the batter version is troublesome to make. You need to whip the egg whites, and you also need to keep applying oil in the mold; otherwise, it might stick due to an area not being greased. It's also quite oily when eaten. In contrast, the bread version is much simpler to make, and tastes great. Adding condensed milk or chocolate sauce makes it even more delicious and yummy. Bread waffle recipeIngredients: 120 grams of high-gluten flour, 80 grams of low-gluten flour.15 grams of honey. 65 grams (original recipe 50 grams) of milk,30 grams of sugar, 3 grams of salt,
4 grams of yeast,50 grams of butter (original recipe 60 grams).
Steps for making bread waffles:1. Knead in the additional butter; it takes some effort to make the dough slightly elastic. 2. Let it rise in a warm and moist environment until doubled in size.3. Divide into 8 portions, round them off. 4. Heat the waffle iron without applying oil; place one small portion of the dough in the middle of each mold, cover with a lid.

5. Cook on low heat; when one side is golden brown, flip the mold and cook the other side until golden brown as well.
Be sure to use low heat or you might burn it easily.
I used an iron plate under the flame for medium-low heat control.
1. The butter content in this dough is higher than usual bread dough, so kneading with the butter was quite laborious.

The first time I made it, I was busy doing other things and didn't pay attention to the state of the dough being mixed by the mixer.
In the second attempt, I watched as expected; it was really tough!

I stirred for a long time but there seemed to be no change; the butter dough still couldn't mix in. At one point, I even thought the mixer might have broken down.

But eventually, a smooth dough did appear! So, the only tricky part is kneading, but leave that to the machine!
Tips
2. Control the heat well. Firstly, use low heat and check frequently to avoid burning.Secondly, adjust the position of the mold over the flame based on the browning progress of both sides. If one side is not as browned, move that part closer to the center of the flame. This batter version isn't something I particularly like, so I won't record the recipe; just keep it for memories. The bread waffle can be eaten hot or cold.
It's harder when cold and makes a good dry snack; I often pack one in my partner's pocket. When warm, it's soft with a texture similar to store-bought fried dough floss;I might try frying some at home and see how it turns out.. Drizzle with condensed milk or melted chocolate, then add some strawberry pieces; it’s tangy and sweet without being greasy!
Even I, who usually don’t like sweets, couldn't stop tasting until I finished the whole piece.
The bread version can be eaten hot or cold. When it's cold, it's quite hard and can serve as dry food; I often put a piece in Dazi's pocket.
When it's warm, it's soft, with a texture similar to store-bought fried dough.Twist-shaped Next time, I'll try frying them myself to see the effect..
Drizzle with condensed milk or melted chocolate, mango bits, and it's sweet and sour but not greasy at all!
Even my non-sweet-tooth friends have eaten the whole piece!
