Does Juice and Milk Mix Well?
Sour beverages (such as fruit juices) can easily turn the proteins in milk into a curdled state, which is highly unfavorable for milk digestion and absorption. Some parents give their infants or young children some sour drinks like juice after feeding them milk, believing this can reduce constipation and increase nutrition. In fact, doing so is actually harmful to the child's nutrient intake. The consumption of fruit juices should be spaced out from drinking milk by a certain period of time, generally about 1 hour after drinking milk. See more answers>>
