How to Make Beer Duck

Steps to make Beer Duck:

2.Duck meat Clean the duck and cut it into pieces, with the feathers on the skin removed using tweezers specifically for eyebrow grooming.

3. Put the pot on medium heat with water boiling, add the duck pieces along with a spoonful of cooking wine to remove the fishy smell.

4. Boil out the blood until the water starts to clear, then transfer and rinse each piece thoroughly in warm water once more.

5. Drain and set aside after drying.

6. Prepare garlic granules, ginger slices,cinnamon sticks, star anise,cloves of fennel, bay leaves, dried red chili shells, beer, and Sichuan pepper sauce, some were not photographed.

7. Put enough oil in the pot, add a tablespoon of Sichuan pepper

sauce and stir-fry until fragrant.

8. Add all seasonings and stir-fry until fragrant.

9. Stir-fry the duck on high heat for two more minutes to release oil.

10. Pour in a bottle of beer, bring it to a boil over high heat.

11. Add a spoonful of dark soy sauce and cooking wine, stir well then reduce heat and cover with lid to simmer for 30 minutes (if using a local breed of duck, the simmering time should be longer).

12. Season with salt according to taste and let it simmer for another ten minutes until the sauce thickens.

13. Serve
