For a northerner, almost every household would stock up on cabbage in winter.Cabbage is something they often store."Nothing compares to cabbage," the elders used to say. As I grew up, I realized that people and food are sometimes simple yet profound. No matter how you cook it, cabbage always tastes good. I will share some common ways we eat cabbage at home today.

  1.Mince meat cabbage stewed with potatoes

Ingredients

  Pork bellysweet potatoes, potatoes,Napa cabbage,mushrooms, spring onions, ginger,star anise,oyster sauce, soy sauce,salt. Steps

1. Boil the sweet potato noodles first.

| Drain and add a little oil to prevent sticking.2. Heat a wok with oil, stir-fry the pork belly for 1 minute over high heat, then set aside. 3. Switch to medium heat, add ginger, star anise, mushrooms, and stir-fry for 1 minute.

4. Add chopped cabbage and stir-fry for 1 minute. Season with salt, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and water. Cover and simmer for 3 minutes.

5. Add the potato noodles and pork belly, continue to cook for 2 more minutes.

Dip in and enjoy!

2. Spicy stir-fried cabbage

Ingredients

  

    Napa cabbage (prefer a drier texture by using only the stems if you like), dried chili peppers,

starch, garlic, vegetable oil, spring onions, salt,

soy sauce,vinegar, sugar, oyster sauce.Steps1. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and oyster sauce in a small bowl to make the sauce.| Dissolve cornstarch in water in another small bowl.

2. Heat oil in a wok over low heat, stir-fry garlic, chili peppers, and spring onions until fragrant. Then add cabbage and stir-fry for 2 minutes over high heat.

3. Pour the prepared sauce into the wok and simmer for 1 minute. Season with salt to taste. Mix in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce. Serve with steaming hot rice, don't let it be too fragrant! 3. Braised meat with cabbage

Ingredients

1. Wash the Napa cabbage and cut it up; chop the pork into cubes.

2. Heat a wok with oil, stir-fry ginger and garlic until fragrant, then add the meat cubes and stir-fry for 2 minutes.3. Add sweet bean sauce and red bean paste, stir-fry for another 2 minutes. 4. Add water, Shaoxing wine or cooking wine, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3 minutes. 5. Add the cabbage, continue to simmer for 5 more minutes. Then add the mixed starch slurry to thicken the broth.Top with spring onions; it's rich in flavor but not spicy, very hearty! starch

1.wash the cabbage and cut it, chop the pork into pieces.

2.heat oil in a wok, add ginger and garlic to stir-fry, then add the meat pieces and stir-fry for 2 minutes, followed by adding sweet bean sauce and doubanjiang.

2 minutes, then add sweet bean sauce, doubanjiang and stir-fry.

3.add an appropriate amount of water, cooking wine or white spirit, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper, simmer for 3 minutes.

4.add the cabbage, continue to simmer for 5 minutes, then add the pre-mixed starch to thicken the sauce.

finish with chopped green onions; it has a rich sauce flavor, not spicy but very filling.
