Home-style Steamed Fish Head with Olive Kernel


Head of the fish The flesh is fine and rich in nutrition, containing Protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin B1.
Mater Main ingredients: 20g olive kernels, 500g fish head, 2 teaspoons of oil, half teaspoon of salt,Soy sauce 30ml,Sugar 10g,Ginger 5-8 slices, enough green onions, red Chili pepper half a piece.
Steps

1. Prepare the ingredients

2. Marinate the olive kernels with oil and sugar for 20 minutes, set aside

3. Wash the fish head thoroughly, sprinkle with salt and set aside

4. Place the marinated olive kernels on top of the fish head

5. Cut ginger into threads, place them on top of the olive kernels, add oil

6. Bring a pot of water to a boil, put in the fish head

7. Cover with a lid and steam for 7 minutes. 8. Heat some oil in a pan

9. Pour hot oil over the steamed fish head after it is done

10. Add soy sauce to complete the dish

Tips
1. If the eyes of the fish head stick out after steaming, it indicates freshness.
2. Reduce cooking time for smaller fish heads.
3. Marinating olive kernels with sugar releases their flavor fully, making the fish head more sweet and delicious.
Macerating the olives with sugar allows them to release their full flavor, making the fish head more tender and sweet.
