Home-style Stir-fried Pork Slice with Lotus Root


Lotus Taro Sweet in taste, cold in nature, it can cool the body, quench thirst, and cool blood. It also nourishes the spleen and enhances appetite. It is said that raw eating yields better results; we haven't tried it, but it's usually cooked into soups or stir-fried or served cold.Boil in a pot, Stir-frying gives a good texture, fresh and crisp.
Ingredients Main ingredients: 500g lotus root, 200g lean pork, appropriate amount of oil, salt, two green onions, appropriate amount of cornstarch, and an appropriate amount of light soy sauce.Pork cut, marinated with cornstarch, light soy sauce, and oil for fifteen minutes.Peel the lotus root, cut into slices and set aside.(Optional to blanch)
Steps

1.Lean meat is cut and marinated with cornstarch, light soy sauce, and oil for fifteen minutes.

2. The lotus root is peeled, sliced, and set aside.(Can be blanched or not)

3. Heat the wok and stir-fry the lean meat until 70% cooked.

4. Pour oil into another heated wok and first cook the lotus root.

5. The lotus root is cooked, then add the lean meat and stir-fry together.

6. Add the green onions and stir.

7. Finally, pour a mixture of cornstarch and light soy sauce as a thickener. Once the sauce has reduced, it can be served on a plate.
Tip: Blanching the lotus root before stir-frying helps it cook faster without becoming too mushy.
