How to Grow Pea Sprouts in Soilless Culture

Eat hongtuo and enjoy mung bean sprouts when having hongtuo. How can we get truly green and pesticide-free mung bean sprouts! After watching many programs and WeChat links, I found that soil-less cultivation is very good and fashionable, so I decided to give it a try. Unwittingly, I succeeded.

Ingredients introduction
Mung beans (2 big handfuls), water (as needed), plastic drainage tray (one), kitchen paper (a few)
Steps for growing mung bean sprouts without soil

1. Soak the dry mung beans in cold water for more than 12 hours.

This is the sieve I bought on Taobao.

2. Place a sheet of kitchen paper in the tray, then evenly spread the soaked mung beans and cover with another layer of kitchen paper. Place it in a dark place and spray water twice a day using a sprayer.

3. On the third day, the sprouts are already this long; you can remove the top layer of paper now, and move them to a sunny spot on your balcony. You don't need to spray water anymore after this step. Clean the base tray each day with half a bowl of water. Remember to change the water daily!

4. Look at how cute they are!

5. You can harvest now.

6. They're great for hotpot, stir-fried vegetables, or cold salads. (After harvesting, you can still grow another crop; just continue changing the water every day.)
