Homemade Milk Chocolate Mousse Recipe


Classmate's niece returned from a vacation in the US, mentioning on a previous gathering that her birthday was on December 3rd and asked if I could make something for her.An egg cake,mousse cake,a Frenchmilk chocolate
mousse.The cake base used a sponge cake, and the mousse filling was made with Nutella cream,light whipping cream,dark chocolate, and decorations were cocoa powder and whipped cream. Thus, this mousse cake has an excellent taste, receiving feedback from classmates such as "Everyone says it's delicious, too delicious" —— that is my greatest satisfaction.
Ingredients Main ingredients
One 8-inch sponge cake,four egg yolks, 54g of granulated sugar,
356ml of milk,

four gelatin sheets,

180g of chocolate,

320ml of light whipping cream,

an appropriate amount of cocoa powder for decoration,

140ml of whipped cream, and

some fruits as decorations.

Steps

1. Cut the top and bottom surfaces off an 8-inch sponge cake, then split it in half.

2. Trim a circle around the edges.

3. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water.

4. Mix egg yolks with sugar.

5. Whisk until slightly pale.

6. Heat the milk to 100 degrees Celsius.

7. Pour the hot milk into the egg yolks slowly, stirring continuously as it is added.

8. Add the softened and drained gelatin sheets, and stir with the remaining heat until fully melted.

9. Melt the chocolate using a chocolate melter.

10. Mix the melted chocolate into the yolk mixture.

11. Cool quickly by placing over ice water.

12. Whisk the light cream to about 60% consistency.

13. Combine half of the whipped cream with the ganache and mix well.

14. Add this mixture back into the remaining cream and stir until smooth.
15. Sieve the mousse mixture, doing it five times for best results.
16. Place one cake layer in a mold.
17. Pour part of the mousse over the cake layer.
