Step-by-step guide to making small monkey fondant cakes at home

This little monkey dwells in my heart, saved up for a long time, finally able to come true.

Using chocolate cake as the base could match the brown fur of the little monkey. To complement the taste of the chocolate cake, some cocoa powder was added when whipping the brown cream, giving the cream a hint of cocoa flavor too. Perhaps using chocolate sauce would be better, but it didn't occur to me at the time.

Fondant work is simple, just that the face outline seems a bit off, and the features aren't quite symmetrical....

Ingredients:

6-inch chocolate cake egg milk 1 piece, animal fat whipped cream 350 grams, sugar 35 grams, cocoa powder ,chocolate sauce ,food coloring a little

Makes:

1 Slice the cake horizontally into three layers, cutting at a 45-degree angle and trimming the top layer to create a circular base. Place the trimmed edges of the cake around the top as a round cap. Whip the cream with sugar until it can hold patterns. Spread the whipped cream on the first cake layer, then place the second and third layers, each covered in cream too. The fourth layer uses the remaining cake edge to form another circular cap. Fill in the gaps of the round cap with cream and cover the entire cake. Outline the cake with cream to finish. Use a toothpick to sketch the outline of the monkey's face on the surface. Blend red cream, pipe two small circles for cheeks using a tip, forming rosy cheeks.

Pipe a line around the facial outline with white cream. Fill in the entire face area. Mix cocoa powder and brown food coloring to make brown cream. Pipe this along the outer edge of the white face then fill the remaining areas. Pipe curved lines resembling ears at ear positions. Fill these spaces with chocolate sauce.

Place chocolate sauce above the cheeks as eyes. Pipe a shape for lips under the cheeks. Finished. The monkey-like appearance is complete..
