Homemade Stuffed Box Pancake with Yardlong Beans, Mushroom, and Beef


This bean pod mushroom beef box pancake is made with steamed dough, not complicated to make but soft and fluffy when eaten,green beans,apricot shiitake and beef meatballs as filling, tasting fresh and fragrant,it is shaped into a box pancake, making the dough thickness even on both sides easily, therefore considered a simple yet delicious dish.

It's particularly suitable for when you're just a bit hungry or can be paired with a bowl of porridge for breakfast.Dough ingredients: flour
150 grams, 105 milliliters warm water (temperature around 75 degrees Celsius),lard
5 grams, a little salt,soy sauce
Filling main ingredients: green beans, shiitake mushrooms,
beef meatballs
Filling seasonings: oil, garlic, cooking wine, salt, sugar,
soy sauce
Method:
1. Add salt to the flour, then add warm water and stir with a bamboo skewer into lumps,
knead into a dough after adding lard and kneading until smooth. Cover with cling film for 20 minutes;
2. Clean green beans and shiitake mushrooms, blanch them, then cut into small pieces.
Cut beef meatballs into pieces, chop garlic finely;
3. Heat a wok with a little oil, add chopped garlic to stir-fry until fragrant,then add minced beef meatballs and stir-fry until color changes; 4. Add shiitake mushroom pieces together and stir-fry.


Pour in a small amount of cooking wine and stir-fry until the alcohol evaporates;
5. Add green bean pieces, season with salt, sugar, and soy sauce,stir-fry evenly then set aside to cool before use; 6. Knead the dough well, divide into four portions and round them up;
7. Take one portion of the dough, flatten it and roll out thinly.Place the cooled filling on half of the dough, fold over the other half, pinch the edges tightly and shape slightly;
