How to make sweet and tender onion fried with spare ribs?

Caramelize the onions.Prepare the ribs. The ingredients: ribs, two onions, two star anise, and a couple of bay leaves.Add one bulb of fennel. Six to seven tablespoons of Japanese teriyaki sauce (or use six to seven tablespoons of soy sauce instead).Two tablespoons of Shaoxing wine, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar. Rib and onion cooking method:

1. Wash the ribs, cut them into pieces, and blanch them in a pot of water until boiling, then remove and drain.

2. Cut the onions into thick slices, set aside about one bowlful for later use.

3. Heat oil in a wok, add half the sliced onions to stir-fry until fragrant, then add the ribs, six to seven tablespoons of soy sauce, two tablespoons of Shaoxing wine, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar or Japanese teriyaki sauce (as I did).

Add water to simmer for over 2.5 hours until the ribs are tender.

4. Add the remaining bowlful of onions.Stir-fry and simmer for five minutes before serving. The dish is ready once cooked.
