A small spoonful Crunchy Walnuts Recipe Steps 1. Soak the walnut pieces in water until the water turns yellow, change the water 2-3 times (to remove bitterness) use warm water if faster.
2. Spread on a flat plate without overlapping to ensure even heat distribution.3. Sprinkle with sugar for sweetness or salt for a salty taste; leave as is for its original flavor or try adding cream, but I haven't tested it. 4. Microwave at high power for 2-2.5 minutes (depending on the size of walnuts); mine took 2:20 due to uneven sizes.
5. Remove and let cool for a few minutes; already fragrant enough that you can barely resist eating.
6. Reheat in the microwave at high power for 1.5 minutes, then remove and let cool – now enjoy, are you regretting not making more?
Tips
The longer you soak, the fewer times you change the water, the less bitter it will be; soaking overnight is even better. You can add sugar, salt, or keep it plain based on personal preference, possibly try cream as well. Heating in two stages makes them crispier; don't just heat all at once to avoid burning and losing their crispiness.
