Homestyle Preparation of Spare Rib and Chicken Dish


The husband likes to eat chicken and also enjoys bean products.Using tofu chickens, boiled with real chicken, one gets the chicken while having bean products as well; it’s a two-in-one solution.
Ingredients Main ingredients: 1 chicken, 500g of tofu chicken,dried mushrooms 15 pieces of mung beans (hulus)daikon radish 80 grams,oil as needed, salt as needed, sugar as needed, cooking wine as needed, old soy sauce as needed, dark soy sauce as needed,ginger as needed, green onions as needed, garlic as needed,
star anise

as needed, cinnamon as needed, bay leaves as needed

Steps

Prepare the ingredients.

Clean and drain the chicken to remove impurities, cut into large pieces,wash the daikon radish and cut it into dice, soak the mushrooms until soft and clean them well,

place the ginger, garlic, green onion in a heated pot to stir-fry out their fragrance,

add chicken pieces,

stir-fry until they change color,

add old soy sauce and sugar, stir-fry until evenly colored,

transfer chicken into a pressure cooker with enough water to cover the meat.chicken stock can be added from soaking mushrooms,

pour in cooking wine, star anise, cinnamon, and bay leaves, cook over high heat until steaming, then switch to low heat for 15 minutes before turning off.

add mushrooms,

then add tofu chicken and daikon radish,

add some salt, cook under steam again for 2-3 minutes, turn off the stove.

sprinkle with chopped green onions as a garnish.
Tips
If using an old chicken, increase cooking time slightly.
The water from soaking mushrooms can be used after filtration.
