Homemade Stewed Pork Belly with Potato


Traditional Chinese cuisine,Sichuan cuisine is known for its soft and tender texture, easy to cook. Firstly,potatoes are deep-fried until golden yellow, removed, the wok is cleaned, then net oil is added,ginger is stir-fried in it, add some stock and water, then place the prepared braised pork int the pot, along with seasonings, simmer on low heat.
Ingredients mains
five-spiced pork belly 500g, 2 potatoes, 100g sweet rice wine, 2 spring onions, 4 garlic cloves, a piece of cinnamon, 2 bay leaves,star anise 1 piece
Steps

1. Cut the pork belly with skin into pieces,rice sweet wine, potatoes, garlic, ginger slices, spring onions

2. Marinate with sweet wine and ginger for about 5 minutes.

3. Cut the potatoes into chunks.

4. Fry the spices in the pot until fragrant.

5. Add the marinated pork belly.

6. Add soy sauce to color it.

7. Sear out the fat, add water to cover the meat, then simmer for 40 minutes on low heat.

8. Simmer the meat for 40 minutes,

9. After 40 minutes of simmering, add potato chunks.

10. Cook the potatoes for another 10 minutes.

11. Thicken the sauce by cooking on high heat.

12. The finished braised pork is very fragrant when served out.

13. Plate it and sprinkle with spring onions before serving.
Tip: Marinating with sweet rice wine makes it tastier.
