Persimmons are made into porridge and are also very delicious to eat, sweet and rich in taste, with benefits such as moistening the lungs, resolving phlegm, clearing heat and thirst, astringing the intestines, stopping dysentery, tonifying the spleen, and benefiting the stomach.

The preparation of persimmon porridge is extremely simple; any fully ripe persimmons can be used to make it, and persimmon cakes can also be used.
Millet:
3 ripe persimmons, millet 100 grams, appropriate amount of rock sugar.
Steps for preparation:
1. Rinse the millet and put it in a pot with water to make porridge; the method of cooking is the same as usual.
2. While cooking the porridge, remove the stem part of the persimmon and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, placing it in a bowl. Then mash the flesh with a spoon and remove the seeds.
3. After the white porridge is cooked, add the persimmon flesh and rock sugar, and simmer for another few minutes before serving.
Additional tips:
1. Only use fully ripe, soft persimmons; choose those that are sweet and not astringent.
2. When removing the flesh, try not to include the skin because it is rather astringent.
3. Using persimmon cakes to make porridge is also very delicious; cut the cakes into small pieces and add them to the cooked white porridge, then simmer for a short time before serving.
