Homemade Steamed Egg Custard with Sea Cucumber

5 heads of soaked sea cucumber, 4 eggs, an appropriate amount of cooking oil, salt, warm water, chopped green onion,
100g carrot,plum sauce for steamed fish, an appropriate amount of water starch Steps 1. Prepare the ingredients; 2. Cut the sea cucumber into pieces and set aside in a dish;3. 6. Place it in the steamer and steam for 15 minutes.

7. While steaming, cut the carrot into small pieces and chop the green onion;

8. In a wok, add an appropriate amount of cooking oil and stir-fry the carrot pieces;

9. Add plum sauce and an appropriate amount of water;

10. Add chopped green onions and water starch to make a sauce;

11. Once the egg custard is cooked, pour the sauce over it;

12. Serve immediately.

Tips 1. I used pre-soaked sea cucumbers, or you can use ready-to-eat ones; 2. The amount of warm water added should be 1:1 for preference, but no more than 1:1.5 to avoid too thin and soft a texture;

Heat some cooking oil in a wok, add diced carrots and stir-fry.

Add some soy sauce for steamed fish and an appropriate amount of water.

Add chopped scallions and water starch to make a roux.

Pour the roux over the cooked egg custard.

Serve immediately.
Tips
1 I pre-soaked the sea cucumber, but you can also use instant sea cucumber.
2 For the amount of warm water added, I prefer a 1:1 ratio, with a maximum of 1:1.5, otherwise it will be too thin and soft.
