How to Make Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs

Ribs (600 grams)

Sweet and sour ribs Steps:
1. Prepare ingredients: cut ribs, wash, chop scallions, slice ginger, dice garlic

2. Boil ribs in hot water for 5 minutes, remove foam with a spoon, boil for another 15 minutes
3. Remove from heat

4. Use clean pot. Heat pan and add sugar, stir-fry on low heat

5. Until it turns dark caramel color

6. Add ribs to stir-fry until evenly coated, then add ginger, garlic, star anise, stir-fry for fragrance

7. Add cold water to cover ribs, add appropriate soy sauce, old soy sauce, cooking wine, salt, vinegar, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes (stir occasionally every 10 minutes)

8. Reduce heat to thicken sauce. Add tomato sauce, white pepper powder, stir-fry evenly. Use cold water and cornstarch to make a slurry, pour into the pan and stir-fry until sauce coats ribs

9. Serve in a dish, sprinkle with cooked sesame seeds and scallion garnish.
