How to Make Beer Duck

Beer Duck Preparation steps

1. Wash the duck meat and season it with a bit of salt on both sides, let it sit for fifteen minutes. Heat up a wok with oil, stir-fry the ginger, garlic, and star anise first before adding the duck meat and searing both sides slightly.

2. After the skin is lightly browned, add one bottle of beer,dark soy sauce and an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, then bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low.3. After simmering for fifteen minutes, add the potatoes. 4. Cook for twenty-five more minutes, remove the potatoes and place them on a serving plate. Reheat the remaining sauce, reducing it until there is only about a bowl left. Then, remove the duck meat and add the reduced sauce back to the heat, adding

sugar

until fully dissolved before turning off the flame.5. Allow the duck meat to cool slightly, slice it and arrange on a plate, then drizzle with the sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions (forgot to buy them) and serve. Tip
