How to Make Self-emade Sichuan Pepper Oil

Main ingredients: red Sichuan pepper (30 grams) Green Sichuan pepper (30 grams) Rapeseed oil (300 grams) 30 grams of Sichuan pepperAuxiliary ingredients: fresh ginger ( ) An appropriate amount
Steps to make homemade Sichuan pepper oil:

1. Prepare red and green Sichuan peppers, remove the stems.

2. Cut ginger into slices for later use.

3. Pour rapeseed oil into a pan, heat it up, add ginger and fry until the ginger slices turn golden brown, then remove them.(You can test the oil temperature with a ginger slice; when bubbles start forming around the ginger, it's ready)

4. Add red and green Sichuan peppers.

5. Maintain low heat for about 30 seconds, turn off the heat, let the peppers steep in the oil for about 2 hours.

6. Cool down before bottling and sealing to preserve. It's great for mixing with vegetables or noodles.
Tip:
When Sichuan peppers are added to the oil, it will start boiling and bubbling; be cautious of safety. Use a slightly larger pot.
