How to make zongzi

Zongzi (Sticky Rice Dumplings) These are sold in large quantities before and after the Dragon Boat Festival. It's easy to buy them during this time, but it's difficult to buy them at other times. Method for Meat Zongzi

Ingredients Preparation

Method for Bamboo Zongzi

Ingredients Preparation
Sticky Rice, dried Red dates Dried Red Dates Peanuts, dried red dates,Adzuki Beans Longan Dried Cranberries Dried Grapes Fragrant Oil, zongzi leaves, Lotus Root, Bamboo Cylinder, Cotton Thread. Method/Steps 1. Clean and dry the bamboo cylinder, and soak dried zongzi leaves and lotus root in water overnight. Wash sticky rice, red adzuki beans, peanuts, and dried red dates, and soak them in water overnight. Wash dried red dates, dried cranberries, and dried grapes and set aside.

Tips
Brush fragrant oil inside the bamboo cylinder, so that after opening the bamboo cylinder, the zong will not stick together. After taking it out, it will be more intact.
How to make Zongzi: Zongzi Wrapping Method
1. Take a large piece of zongzi leaf, fold it in half, and fold the bottom of the double layer upwards, and press with your hand.
2. Open the zongzi leaf, fill it with sticky rice, and try to fill the sticky rice into a long shape.

3. Fold the part of the zongzi leaf that doesn't have rice, and then pinch the sides of the leaf with your hand. Fold the tip of the zongzi leaf to one side.
4. Tie the zongzi with a string.
Fold the non-rice part of the leaves over, then pinch the sides of the leaves with your hand.
Bind the leaves with string to secure.
