Use purple yam, pumpkin to make blooming steamed buns, which are visually appealing, soft in texture, and have good elasticity, enticing appetite.
Main ingredients:medium-gluten flour 600 grams, 150 grams of purple yam, 150 grams of pumpkin, 100 grams of warm water
Auxiliary ingredients:white sugar 20 grams, yeast 6 grams
Method:

1. Steam the purple yam and pumpkin until they are cooked, then blend them into a paste using a mixer.

2. Divide the flour into three equal parts; one portion add with purple yam paste, 2 grams of yeast, and knead to form a purple yam dough;another portion adds pumpkin paste, 2 grams of yeast, and mixes to make a pumpkin dough;the remaining part mixes with warm water, 2 grams of yeast, and 20 grams of white sugar, then kneads into a white dough.

3. Cover with a lid or cling film and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

4. After deflating the risen dough, knead until smooth on the surface.

5. Divide the three colored doughs into equally sized pieces.

6. Roll the white dough to the largest sheet, slightly smaller for the yellow one, and roll the purple dough into balls. The colors can be chosen according to your preference.

7. Shape them like baozi by pinching the edges tightly and sealing well.

8. Seal the edges downward with the opening facing down, cut a cross on top (the depth of the cut directly affects the size of the bloom; deeper cuts result in larger blooms).

9. Place them on a steamer lined with wet cloth, leaving space between each piece as they will expand during steaming. Let it rise again until doubled in size.

10. Bring water to a boil, then steam for about 15 minutes before turning off the heat and letting it sit for 5 minutes with the lid on.

11. A smile always open.
Tip:
1. The purple yam and pumpkin are already sweet, so adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.
2. Adjust the amount of purple yam and pumpkin based on their moisture content and the flour's water absorption.
