Homemade Rose Seed Pudding Recipe

Use ceramic cooking pot. Boil the lotus seeds in it.The lotus seeds cooked in a ceramic pot become particularly soft and mushy, resulting in particularly smooth and tender red bean paste when stir-fried. I stir-fried the red bean paste using a bread machine, which was very convenient compared to using a wok, where my wrists often hurt from the effort. Since I have a bread machine with a stir-fry function, making red bean paste or red bean filling has become much easier for me.Wrap the smooth red bean paste in homemade rose jam, giving it a delicate sweetness and the scent of roses. Whether you're having this as an afternoon snack or morning meal, the taste is fantastic! IngredientsMain ingredients Lotus seeds 150g, Butter
40g, honey
15g,rose jam 70g Step 1Take the required amount of lotus seeds. You can adjust this according to your needs. I made seven servings with this quantity.
I chose Xianglian, a variety that becomes particularly soft and mushy when cooked, resulting in smooth red bean paste.

Step 2Soak the lotus seeds in cold water for about 20 minutes. Step 3Place an appropriate amount of water in a ceramic pot, add the lotus seeds, and cook over high heat until boiling. Then switch to low heat and simmer for 40 minutes.

This ensures the lotus seeds become very soft and mushy.

Do not use high heat as it wastes energy and makes the lotus seeds harder to cook thoroughly. Step 4Once cooked, remove the lotus seeds from the pot and place them in a blender with an appropriate amount of cooking water. Blend until smooth.

I used a blender; this produces very fine paste. If you don't have one, you can use another mixer. Step 5

Pour the blended lotus seed paste into the bread machine pan and add butter. Start the automatic stir-fry function and cook for 40 minutes to an hour. The exact time depends on the moisture content of the lotus seed paste. Since I made it quite dry, it only took 40 minutes to cook properly.

Step 6After 40 minutes, the red bean paste is very dry and has formed into a ball in the bread machine pan.

This is done. Step 7

Evenly spread out the cooled red bean paste and add honey. The red bean paste should be quite dry to prevent it from becoming too soft when mixed with honey; otherwise, it will not hold its shape well.

Step 8

Mix evenly until combined. I used the mixing function for one minute.

Step 9

Divide the red bean paste into seven portions.

Step 10

Take an appropriate amount of homemade rose jam.
Step 11
Flatten a portion and encase 10g of rose jam inside.
