People who enjoy Guangdong-style oil salt rice can actually make it at home, as the method is very simple.
Guangdong-style Oil Salt Rice Ingredients Introduction
Main Ingredients:
Rice(150 grams)
Auxiliary Ingredients:
Water (180 ml) | Salt (2 grams) | Oil (2 tablespoons)
Steps for making Guangdong-style oil salt rice:
1. Rinse the rice, drain it, mix with salt and oil, and marinate for 5 minutes (leave half a tablespoon of oil to coat the pot).

2. Put the remaining oil into a clay pot and coat its inner walls.

3. Place it on medium heat until small bubbles appear in the oil.

4. Add the rice.

5. Pour in water (you don't need to measure exactly, usually up to half a centimeter above the rice after soaking, add more if you prefer softer rice).Rice should be slightly softer)

6. Cover and cook over medium heat until the water boils.

7. Immediately switch to minimum heat and stir the bottom with a spoon to prevent the rice from sticking to the pot.

8. Cook for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat, sprinkle with green onions, cover for half a minute, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes (the clay pot allows the water to dry quickly; this step is crucial, be patient). If you like raw onions, you can stir them in after the rice has fully sat.

9. Mix the green onions evenly, serve in a bowl and enjoy.

Tips:
1. It's recommended to use peanut oil for richer flavor.2. If you don't have a clay pot, you can use other pots, but using a clay pot will give the rice a unique taste; it's suggested to use one if possible.3. After the water boils, make sure to use minimum heat or the rice may stick to the bottom of the pot.
