Steps:
1. Soak the prepared glutinous rice in clean water for about two hours.

2. Wash the yam thoroughly, peel it, cut off the ends, and then cut it into pieces.

3.Sandpot is cleaned, pour the soaked glutinous rice and enough water into the pot, add the yam, and bring to a boil over high heat.

4. When the fire boils starts to simmer, add the washed dried shrimp, use chopsticks to support the edge of the pot while placing the lid on top to prevent overflow;

5. Continue cooking and stirring until it thickens, then stir in the seafood powder and turn off the heat.6. Wash and cut the green onions into segments, quickly sauté them in a hot oil pan until they turn brownish-black due to the remaining heat, known as fried onion bits; 7. Add these to the cooked congee, stir well, and enjoy!
