2. Wash the pork and cut it into small pieces.

3. Cut the lotus root into two parts; one part cut into strips to mix with the meat paste for smoother texture, PS: and the other part cut into cubes to be mixed directly with the well-mixed meat filling, allowing babies to taste the crispness of the lotus root.4. To give more vegetables to the baby, I also added some carrot; peel and cut it into small pieces.

5. Put the pork and lotus root that have been cut up into a blender.

PS: The meat filling should be blended finely; if chopped with a knife, the texture will be somewhat coarse. I prepared more meat filling, so I mixed it in two batches.6. Prepare 10g of starch and mix it with 30ml of water to make a slurry, then add it to the meat filling to make the mixture finer.

In fact, water and starch can be added later to the meat filling; but I added them at this step to make the meat filling smoother. PS: 7. After blending the meat filling, put it into a bowl.

For babies over one year old, a little salt can be added according to taste for seasoning. PS: I didn't add salt, and the flavor was still very good; but if the baby is particularly picky about flavors, a bit can be added.8. The meat filling, carrot pieces, lotus root pieces, and water are ready.

9. Mix all the ingredients evenly.

PS: Adding 30ml of water in this step can vary with experience; ensure that the meat filling does not appear too dry, or it will be hard and tough when steamed. PS: If after mixing it's still too dry, add a little water again.11. Arrange the meat filling evenly on the dish before placing it in the steamer for about 15 minutes.

12. After cooking, take out the meat buns.

It's normal that the meat buns will slightly shrink and have some broth after cooking.13. Finally, cut the cooked meat buns into small pieces suitable for the baby to chew, or mold them into cute shapes; they taste better when eaten hot.
