Home-style Braised Yellow Croaker with Dried Shiitake Mushrooms


The whole family prefers big yellow croaker.We buy one every now and then, as it not only has a delicious taste, tender meat, and rich nutrition, but also has small bones, making it suitable for the elderly and children to eat.
Yellow croaker is rich in protein, trace elements, and vitamins, benefiting the human body greatly. It also contains abundant selenium, which can eliminate free radicals produced by metabolism in the body,
delay aging, and have preventive and curative effects on various cancers. Ingredients Main ingredients: 1 large yellow croaker, 4 shiitake mushrooms, an appropriate amount of cooking oil, salt, seafood soy sauce, 1 spoonful, rice wine 1 spoonful, sugar 1 teaspoon, 1/3 piece of green onion, 1 small piece of ginger, and garlic in proper quantity.Steps 11. Remove the scales, organs from the yellow croaker and wash it clean. 2. Drain the water from the fish and make a few cuts on both sides of the body.3. Chop the green onion, ginger, and garlic into fine pieces. 4. Clean the shiitake mushrooms, blanch them in boiling water for a moment, then remove them.5. Heat oil in a pot, fry the yellow croaker until both sides are golden brown. 6. Fry until both sides turn golden.
7. Add an appropriate amount of water, seafood soy sauce, rice wine, and sugar,

then add the chopped green onion, ginger, and garlic.

8. Add the shiitake mushrooms,

and simmer over low heat for a long time until the fish is cooked and the sauce thickens.

9. Serve when done.

Tips

This time I added several shiitake mushrooms to the braised yellow croaker, which tasted great in my opinion.

If you don't like them, you can skip them according to your preference.

Add the mushrooms, diced.Stir well. Boil for a while then reduce to a low heat and simmer slowly until the fish is cooked and the sauce has thickened, then turn off the heat.

9. Serve in a dish.
Tips,
This time I added a few mushrooms to the braised yellow croaker, which I found enhanced the flavor; however, if you prefer not to add them, that's fine too.
