Homemade Steamed Sweet Potato in Sand Pot Method

Recently acquired a new clay pot.It is said to withstand dry baking and sudden cooling without breaking, this is my first roasting with it. The clay pot version of the sweet potato truly tastes better than the oven-baked one.The same sweet potatoes yield less oil when cooked in the clay pot and save time, only half an hour is needed. Ingredients:Main ingredients: 500g sweet potato, sufficient aluminum foil Steps:
1. Wash the sweet potatoes and dry them thoroughly 2. Place a rack inside the clay pot
3. Put the aluminum foil into the clay pot, then place the sweet potatoes on top

4. Cover the clay pot with a lid and roast over medium heat for 20 minutes.

5. Use a tool to turn the sweet potatoes over, continue roasting over medium heat for another 10 minutes.

Tips:

1. Dry the sweet potatoes thoroughly 2. Be cautious when turning over the sweet potatoes as the clay pot gets very hot around it. 3. The aluminum foil should be long enough to extend outside the clay pot to prevent moisture from entering.

5. Use the tool to flip the sweet potato, and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Tip
1 Dry the sweet potato thoroughly.
2 Be careful when flipping; the pot is very hot around the edges.
3 Ensure the aluminum foil is long enough to extend outside the pot to prevent steam from entering.
