Homemade Mao Doufu Recipe


Baidu Ma Tofu is a of old Beijing's Han people snack, common people's cuisine. There is similar food in Henan Anyang called fenjiang tuozu. This item originates from the old capital's powder shop. The powder shop originally produced powder skin starch, the finest became soy milk, the genuine product used for making starch;the most watery became juice, which is soybean juice;the middle layer of thick greenish-gray slurry, after being heated and filtered, turned into ma dou fu.
Ma dou fu due to its green bean as ingredient, has digestive aids such as appetizing, aiding digestion, clearing internal heat.

Main ingredients: 300g of ma dou fu
:ginger yang tail oil young green beans spicy doubanjiang sauce as needed.
The steps to make ma dou fu:
1. Prepare the ingredients ingredients
2. Blanch young green beans until seven or eight parts cooked.
3. Heat the pan with lamb tallow, add scallions and ginger to stir-fry until fragrant.

4. Add spicy doubanjiang and stir for a moment.
5. Add blanched young green beans and stir-fry.
6. Add ma dou fu.

7. Pour in an appropriate amount of water, constantly stir to prevent sticking (be cautious of splashes that may burn).
8. Stir-fry for about ten minutes or until the desired consistency is achieved.
9. Heat oil and add chili fragrance,

pour it over the ma dou fu.
