Homemade Braised Spare Ribs with Broccoli


This dish was seen on a food website before in time.I wanted to try making it at home as the ingredients were all available. Ingredients:
Main Ingredients: Broccoli 150g, Rib meat 400g, oil as needed, salt as needed, 5ml cooking wine, Dark soy sauce Steps: 8g
1. Prepare broccoli.

2. Put water in a pot and add the broccoli to blanch it.

3. Add new water into the pot and put the rib meat in.

4. Add cooking wine and simmer for three minutes before washing it clean.

5. Heat oil in a pot and fry the rib meat.

6. Fry until both sides are golden brown.

7. Then add dark soy sauce.

8. Stir-fry until the rib meat is well-coated with color.

9. Add water.

10. Add five-spice powder and simmer for half an hour.

11. After half an hour, add broccoli stems.

12. Mix well.

13. Simmer for twenty minutes then add broccoli.

14. Then switch to high heat to reduce the sauce before adding

chicken essence just before serving.15. Serve and enjoy.

Tip: Since the broccoli has already been blanched, it only needs to be stir-fried for a short while with the rib meat at the end.
