Steps to make five-spice water-boiled peanuts:

Fresh peanuts should be washed and drained. PS: Clean repeatedly as sand can easily stick in the peanut shells.

Boil an appropriate amount of water with star anise, bay leaves, cinnamon, fennel,

dried tangerine peel, licorice, and cloves.

Add the washed peanuts and continue boiling them.

Once the peanuts are cooked, add salt and switch to a small fire.
Drain the water when it is almost gone, allowing the peanuts to absorb flavors well.

Be patient in cleaning the peanuts as they can hide sand.
