Five-Spice Soybeans and Peanuts Recipe

When I was young, every summer when we went out for barbecue with Dad, he would order a portion of five-spice mung beans, and peanuts. He would have a bottle of draft beer and give me a can of soda to slowly eat the skewers!

Ingredients Introduction
Mung beans, peanuts, star anise, cinnamon, cloves,Sichuan pepper, salt, dried chili, and five-spice powder for stewing meat.,How to make Five-Spice Mung Beans and Peanuts 1. Rinse the mung beans and peanuts; my husband loves mung beans more, so I bought more of them and fewer peanuts.
2. Add one star anise, a piece of cinnamon, two pieces of clove, a large spoonful,

and another packet of stewing meat seasonings~~

3. Boil the water first, then add the Sichuan pepper, star anise, and other condiments and simmer for a while; don't forget to add salt!

4. Add more salt as it will be used to soak the mung beans and peanuts later.5. Don't use too little water so that there will still be enough liquid after cooking.4. When the water has cooked out a nice aroma, you can add the washed mung beans and peanuts into the pot.

Simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.5. After 20 minutes, turn off the heat, but don't rush to serve; let the mung beans and peanuts soak in the salty water for a while. I turned off the stove to wash clothes for about thirty minutes, then served them~ already quite flavorful!

~ Simple and clean~TipMy husband also loves it, so I tried making it myself.
The taste is great!
