Homemade Xiao Zhu Tou Narcissus Buns Recipe


Make homemade milk yellow buns shaped like piglets to make children more interested in eating. Not using artificial colors, I used purple sweet potato juice, resulting in a changing color and beautifying piglet!it reminded me of the purple sweet potato noodle... After cooking, it turned out to be almost white like regular noodles!
Ingredients Main ingredients: ordinary flour 250g, 125ml water, 10g sugar powder,butter 20g, 35g granulated sugar,egg 40g,milk powder 15g, 5g cornstarch,black sesame seeds 8 grains, purple sweet fruit juice appropriate amount, 3g yeast
Steps

1. Knead the main ingredients into a smooth dough and let it ferment.

2. Take an appropriate amount of the dough and add purple sweet fruit juice to form a small dough ball (I used the skin of the purple sweet fruit).

3. Soften the butter, then add granulated sugar.

4. Mix until the color turns white.

5. Add egg liquid in portions and mix well.

6. Add milk powder and cornstarch.

7. Continue mixing until well combined.

8. Put on a steamer.Steam for 20 minutes.

9. Stir every 7 minutes to prevent lumps from forming.

10. Let the finished product chill in the refrigerator for one hour.

11. The milk yellow filling should be chilled, while the white dough has also risen properly; it is just perfect for winter when the dough rises slowly.

12. Divide the white dough into four parts.

13. Also divide the milk yellow filling and purple sweet fruit dough each into four parts.

14. Take a portion of each dough to make two ears and a nose from the purple sweet fruit dough.

15. Take a portion of white dough, a portion of milk yellow filling, and three portions of purple sweet fruit dough; shape them into pig ears and a nose.and a pig's nose

16. Wrap the milk yellow filling in the white dough ball, seal it properly.

17. Stick on the nose, ears, and black sesame seed eyes, use toothpicks to poke two nostrils; a pig bun is done!

18. Place the buns in the steamer to rest until they increase in volume before steaming them.

19. Steam for 10 minutes on high heat, turn off and let sit for 3 minutes.

21. No artificial color used; the nose and ears are meaty in color!

22. If left until the next morning, reheating results in a yellow hue, ha-ha! It truly is a changing-color, beautifying piglet head!
