How to Make Pumpkin Blossom Flower Buns

Pumpkin flower-shaped steamed buns' preparation steps:
1. Clean the pumpkin, cut it into pieces, and place them in a pot.Steam for fifteen minutes and set aside.

2. While still hot, mash the pumpkin to make puree. Let it cool to about 30 degrees Celsius, then add all the flour and yeast powder, mixing well.

3. Use a spoon to mix the flour and pumpkin puree into a dough-like consistency, as shown in the picture.

4. Then knead it into a smooth dough by hand. Let it rest in a warm place for thirty minutes.

5. After about half an hour, check if the dough has developed a honeycomb texture.

6. Knead the dough again and form it into long strips, setting them aside.

7. Cut the strips into pieces of equal size, as shown in the picture.

8. Take the cut pieces, round them up with some flour on your hands, and use a flower-shaped mold.

9. Place the rounded pieces into the mold, pressing down to form shapes, as shown in the picture.

10. Carefully remove from the mold and proceed to make all of them accordingly.

11. Let the finished flower-shaped buns rest for ten minutes before a second rising.

12. Steam for 15 minutes over boiling water, then let it sit for two minutes before taking it out.

13. Remove the steamed buns from the pot and place them on a rack to cool slightly.
