A common way to make chess pieces.

Yesterday, I posted the finished images of this chess piece in the group chat, and many people didn't know what these pieces were. The second month's second day of the lunar calendar is commonly known as:"Dragon Head Raising"In many places in China, there is a custom of eating fried beans or chess pieces on this day, also called "Eating Dragon Scales". In our local area, we don't just eat these chess pieces on the second month's second day; they are also chosen as gifts for weddings. I remember when I was young, whenever there were celebrations in neighboring homes, my grandmother and mother would be invited to help make the chess pieces. Back then, everything was handmade. The beans were cooked in a large pot. When they came back, they would bring us a small handful of them as a treat. The taste was so delicious, so crisp, that I could never forget it. Nowadays, the traditional process has been transformed into mechanical production for greater efficiency, but the flavor remains etched in my memory. By chance, I saw Shuangshuang's recipe for these chess pieces and immediately saved it. I used to make them for Yangyang when she was young. Now that I have a second child, I occasionally bake some as a snack. They are much better than store-bought ones, most importantly because they are healthier.
