- Procedure for Five-Spice Braised Pig's Foot
-
1. Ingredients: half a pig's foot, five-spice materials:Star anise, Sage leaf, cinnamon bark,Garlic, ginger slices, packaged to make it easier to handle the residue.
-
2. Boil the pig's foot and drain the water. Fry a little sugar in a pot with some oil if necessary to prevent burning, until the pig's foot turns slightly brown. Add soy sauce, old dark soy sauce for coloring.
-
3. Put the pig's foot and the five-spice packet into a clay pot(alternatively, any other pot can be used). Add enough boiling water to cover the pig's foot.
-
4. Bring to a large flame, add appropriate salt, then simmer for about 90 minutes until the pig's foot is tender and fall-off-the-bone. Be sure not to let the water boil dry; leave some liquid to thicken and make it more fragrant and tender.
